Described as “charismatic and captivating for his acting and vocal naturalness” Davide Giusti has gained acclaim for his performances in leading roles such as Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto (Royal Swedish Opera Stockholm, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Opéra Royal de Wallonie Liège), Rodolfo in La bohème (Florida Grand Opera Miami, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Polish National Opera Warsaw), Ismaele in Nabucco (Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opèra national de Montpellier), Alfredo in La traviata (Den Norske Opera Oslo, Opèra Grand Avignon), Fenton in Falstaff and Nemorino in L’elisir d’Amore (Opéra de Nice), Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Lithuanian National Opera Vilnius), Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Teatro Comunale di Bologna). He has collaborated with such conductors as Kent Nagano, Teodor Currentzis, Giampaolo Bisanti, Fabio Biondi, Donato Renzetti, Bruno Campanella, just to name a few.
He is deeply invested in performing also rare and contemporary works, as Menotti’s Amelia al ballo (Amante) at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and Tutino’s Le Braci (Young Konrad) at Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca and at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Davide Giusti is also an active recitalist and concert performer, with notable engagements that include Haydn’s St. Cecilia Mass, Mozart’s Requiem and Great Mass in C minor, Donizetti’s Requiem, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Händel’s Messiah, and Schumann’s Dichterliebe.
Born in Civitanova Marche, Italy, Davide Giusti graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Music “G. B. Pergolesi” in Fermo. He specialized with such renowned teachers as Renata Scotto, Raina Kabaivanska and Alberto Zedda. Giusti made his debut in 2010 as Ferrando in Così fan tutte at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and in 2012, he attended the Academia Rossiniana in Pesaro, where he debuted at Rossini Opera Festival as Cavaliere Belfiore in Il viaggio a Reims and he returned in 2020 for La cambiale di matrimonio (Edoardo Milfort).
Davide Giusti is the winner of prestigious international competitions, including the 2nd prize at Placido Domingo’s Operalia, 1st prize in Lied and Song and 2nd prize in Opera at the “Renata Tebaldi” Competition and the “Franco Corelli” Best Tenor Prize at the “Ottavio Ziino” Competition in Rome.
He recorded for major record labels: Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle for Brilliant Classics, 2014; I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Tebaldo) for Glossa, 2015; Il Natale degli Innocenti by Nino Rota for Decca, 2015; and Tutino’s Le Braci for Dynamic, 2015.
