An up-and-coming talent on the European opera scene, Nina Solodovnikova was a finalist in the Belvedere ‘Hans Gabor’ International Singing Competition, winning a contract for the 2024/25 season at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where she is also invited for the 2025/26 season. In Berlin she performs such roles as Violetta in La traviata, Musetta in La bohème, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Micaela in Carmen, Gilda in Rigoletto, Liù in Turandot.

In 2017 she was part of the Opera (e)Studio of the Ópera de Tenerife, where she took part in the production of Don Carlo under the baton of Jader Bignamini and where she debuted the role of Giulietta in Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi, a production that was also staged at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in May 2018. She was also a member of the Scuola dell’Opera of Teatro Comunale di Bologna (2016-2018), where she had the opportunity to perform in Don Carlo conducted by Michele Mariotti

Since 2019, her career has seen several debuts in such leading roles as Adina in L’elisir d’amore at  Daegu Opera House in South Korea, Violetta Valery in La traviata at Ópera de Tenerife and her debut at Festival Donizetti in Bergamo, in Pietro il Grande conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini (2019); Valencienne in The merry widow at Teatro Verdi di Salerno under the baton of Daniel Oren (2020); Musetta in La bohème staged by Graham Vick and conducted by Francesco Ivan Ciampa at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Aspasia in Mitridate, re di Ponto at Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza (2021); Oscar in Un ballo in maschera conducetd by Yves Abel in Pamplona e Fanny in Rossini’s La cambiale di matrimonio again at Teatro Verdi di Salerno (2022); Despina in Così fan tutte at Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck (2023), and also Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte for hi debut in South America at Teatro Mayor in Bogotà in 2024.

Born in Moscow, she graduated with honors in opera singing from the “Ippolitov-Ivanov” Music Institute in her hometown. She continued her studies in Italy at the Conservatorio “G. B. Martini” in Bologna, where she currently lives and where she first performed as Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Collegium Musicum. She also had the opportunity to specialize with William Matteuzzi at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, with Romina Basso for the baroque repertoire at the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna, and with Luciana Serra at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala. He has attended master classes with Giulio Zappa, Luciana D’Intino and Mariella Devia.
