Veta Pilipenko was a member of Young Artist Program of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, where she had chance to debut on stage in Italy with leading conductors and stage directors. She has already worked with such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Michele Mariotti, Roberto Abbado, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Donato Renzetti, Roland Böer, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Daniel Oren.

Born in Chelyabinsk (Russian Federation), in 2012 she obtained her degree in vocal and theatre arts at the Russian University of Theatre Arts – GITIS in Moscow, faculty of music theatre. She has begun her professional career as a singer at the “Boris Pokrovsky” Chamber Theatre Moscow (the chamber stage of the Bolshoi Theatre) and as a guest singer at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theatre where she sang the Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Lisetta in Haydn’s Il mondo della Luna, Valencienne in The merry widow and many different roles in contemporary operatic repertoire. Then she moved to Italy, she graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Florence and she specialized at the Academy of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, which gave her the chance to debut in Italy, with Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Tamburo in Viktor Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis.

Highlights  of her career include her debut at Opéra National de Paris in Rigoletto, Lola in Cavalleria rusticana at NDR Klassik Open Air in Hanover, Luisa Miller (Federica) at Festival Verdi in Parma, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and Isabella in a reduction of L’italiana in Algeri at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Falstaff and Respighi’s La bella dormente nel bosco at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with Michele Mariotti and Mozart’s Requiem at Teatro Regio di Parma, Lucrezia Borgia (Maffio Orsini) and Anna Bolena (Smeton) at Teatro Verdi di Trieste, La Clemenza di Tito (Annio) at ABAO Bilbao and at Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

Recent highlights are: Rigoletto (Maddalena) at Teatro Regio di Torino; Die Fledermaus (Orlofsky) at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari; Anna Bolena (Smeton) at Teatro Verdi Trieste; The Tzar’s bride at Teatro Regio di Torino; Fidalma in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto at Teatro Regio di Parma; Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at IBM Studios Milan; Norma (Adalgisa) in Como, in Pavia and in Pisa; Così fan tutte (Dorabella) and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung under the baton of Zubin Mehta at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
